M32 European Series - Valencia Day 1

Valencia, April 20th 

Fantastic sailing just out the harbour of Valencia.

Six races completed by PRO Mattias Dalstrhom in the rough water just outside Port America's Cup in a sunny and breezy Valencia.

A steady breeze of 9 to 12 knots has opened the first day of the first event of the 2018 Sailing Series- M32 European Series.

Battle for first has started around 1:30 pm after the teams ended the briefing at "Veles y Vents" on sailing instructions for the day and on how to set up the Kwindoo Tracking System (please use the QRcode below to download the free app to follow the races in real time).

Ranking is very tight at the end of this first day with 3 teams in three points.

The first leader of today is Section16 helmed by Richard Davies, followed by one point by Sailing Team Nederland of the 3 times Olympian finn Sailor Pieter-Jan Potsma.

Third is Vitamina Veloce with Andrea Lacorte at the helm that, after two bullets in race 2 and 4, has got a 2 points penalty in close contact at the windward mark with Shark Team helemed by Guido Miani who has got a penalty point as well in the same occasion as decided by the expert Umpire Maria Torrijo.

Two Pro Am races hve been dedicated to enthusiast and distinguished Guests of the event invited by the Camara Franco-Espanola.

The evening is ending with a Match Race show and more Guest experience inside Port Americas Cup in front of a nice party for all competitors held at the HighCube restaurant and lounge.

Music , good food and fun to relax and be ready for the continue of the battle taking place tomorrow and startin 11:30 with the skipper meeting, racing will be at 1:00.
